Opportunities to Serve
Part of connecting at the Vineyard is serving together - serving God, serving each other and serving our community. Listed below are some current opportunities with job descriptions and contact numbers or emails.

We want and need you to serve with us. Regardless of the job, the pay is the same and the rewards are tremendous - nothing less than God's choicest blessings!
Greeters & Ushers for Sunday Celebrations - Help us welcome folks to the Vineyard's Sunday Celebrations. Arrive a half hour before the Celebration begins and help everyone who enters our doors feel welcome, comfortable, and accepted...and you'll also want to give them a program. You can serve as little as once every three months (although we predict that you'll get hooked!) For more info, contact Susan Edwards (762.333.5705).
Information Desk Attendants for Celebrations - Be a resource to those attending our Sunday Celebrations. Direct people to ministry information and whatever they need to make their experience at a Vineyard Celebration a rewarding one. Volunteers are needed to serve once a quarter. Kitchen Assistant - Volunteer will go through short training (2 events) that will provide on the job training to prepare to assist. Contact the Steve Edwards (706.799.1110).
TIME COMMITMENT: 4 - 6 hours per event. NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 4
Kitchen Helper (pre-Meal) - Helpers will assist in setting up for meals including preparing tables, drinks, etc. Help with last minute food preparations. Contact Steve Edwards (706.799.1110).
TIME COMMITMENT: 2 - 4 hours per event. NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 4
Kitchen Helper (post-Meal) - Helpers will assist with dining area and kitchen clean up. Responsibilities include clearing and washing dishes, storing food, etc.Contact Steve Edwards (706.799.1110).
TIME COMMITMENT: 1 - 1½ hours after the event is over. NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 2-5
Setup / Decoration for Special Events - SERVICE DESCRIPTION:
Prepare and decorate tables before events. Contact the Steve Edwards (706.799.1110).
TIME COMMITMENT: 2 hours before event. NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 5
Preschool Church Teaching Assistant - Assist the lead teacher with classroom activities. Interact with the children. Pass out needed materials and snacks. Volunteers are needed one Sunday per month from 9:15-11 or 11-12:45.  For more information please contact Barb Bowman, Preschool Coordinator, (billbowman@aol.com)

Beginners' Church Teaching Assistant - Assist the lead teacher with classroom activities. Interact with the children. Pass out needed materials and snacks. Craft Preparation - Prepare needed materials by sorting, cutting, and gluing for special craft projects. Volunteers are needed approximately one hour per week, once a month. For more information contact Mary Margaret LeRoy (706.863-9766 or mm@vineyardaugusta.org)
Toy Washing - Help keep our kids healthy by disinfecting classroom toys. Volunteers are needed once a month for approximately one hour once a month during church office hours. For more information, contact Mary Margaret LeRoy (706.863-9766 or mm@vineyardaugusta.org)

Adult Youth Leaders -Help us hang out with, teach, pray for, interact with, and guide the youth on Wednesdays or Sundays. For more information contact Joel Brickner at 863.9766 or joel@vineyardaugusta.org.

 

VSM Coffee Bar Team -Come help us serve coffee and sodas Sunday Mornings. You would need to be here by 8:30am and serve until 9:30 am and then after the service for another 10 mintues. It's a great place to meet everyone.  For more information contact Rudy & Elma Fernandez (706.737.2708).

Security Team for Sundays/events-Walk the grounds and inside our buildings as another layer of safety for our families and children.  Contact Susan Edwards (762.333.5705).

Easy Worship/Power Point Team for Sunday'Events- Learn to operate our Easy Worship lyric slides and the power point slides for sermons and guest speakers. Contact Eben Brusco (706-863-9766 or eben@vineyardaugusta.org).
